NURSERY
In order for your child to have a safe and enjoyable experience, we have established the following guidelines for use in our children’s department. Screened and dedicated teachers share the love of God through Bible stories, music, and crafts.
There are two nursery classes available:
Birth - 1 year
Walking - 3 yrs (pre-Kindergarden)
Guidelines
1. Hours: The nursery will be open at 9:15 am during Sunday school and will close 15 minutes following services. We request that parents pick up their child as soon as possible at the close of each service.
2. Registration and Pickup: To avoid crowded conditions, only one parent should bring or pick up children at the nursery. The check-in attendant will assign a number to your child(ren). Parents will receive a laminated card with their child’s number on it. In the event of an emergency, we will scroll that number on the screen in the adult service.
3. Diaper Bag: Please provide us with the equipment to care for your child. A child’s diaper bag should contain the following:
a. Diapers
b. Plastic bottle/cup with child’s name on it – please have bottles prepared in advance
c. Pacifier (if needed) also labeled with child’s name on it
d. Change of clothing
4. Food: We provide toddlers with a snack. Because of the number of children in our care, it is impossible for us to spoon feed a child. Pre-mixed bottles are acceptable.
5. Medication: We do not permit Kids Zone workers to give medication to any child.
6. Health: Please notify the check-in attendant of any allergies, special instructions or needs about your children. Children showing any signs of illness or having a fever, colds, or any other contagious infection should not attend the nursery.
7.Toys: Please do not allow your child to bring any personal toys to the nursery.
8. Discipline: To protect all our children, we may suspend any child with a reoccurring discipline problem from the nursery for a period of up to four weeks.
9. Volunteers: We encourage parents who are regular attendees and have nursery age children to volunteer as a worker once a month. If you desire to do so, please ask the check-in attendant for a volunteer information packet.
10.Staff: We screen and train all children’s workers. For safety reasons, we allow only these workers in the children’s classrooms. Parents and siblings are not to enter the classrooms.
Thank you for your consideration in these matters. We want to serve your children to the best of our abilities.
